  • Publish Date: Posted almost 7 years ago

Bermudian (re)insurer Aspen has appointed Tim Aman as its new group chief risk officer.

Aman joined the company in February, replacing Richard Thornton who was named as Aspen’s group chief operating officer in December, in addition to his responsibilities as head of strategy.

Before joining Aspen, Aman was principal of Broctuary, an independent Florida-based actuarial, broking and risk management consultancy that he established in 2016.

Prior to that, he spent eight years as chief risk officer at Montpelier Re, having previously served as managing director for Guy Carpenter’s global accounts and Latin American and Caribbean broking teams.

He has also previously held positions as a pricing officer at St Paul Reinsurance and as an actuary at Cigna.
