Specialist insurer Markel International has announced the appointment of Joanne Healy as professional indemnity (PI) and telecommunications, media and technology (TMT) underwriter, in its London office.

In her new role, Healy will be working with the professional indemnity and TMT team on the servicing and development of the existing portfolio as well as helping to drive new initiatives. She will report the Bhavik Desai, head of professional indemnity and TMT.

She brings over five years’ experience in the professional lines market and joins Markel from Acappella Syndicate 2014 and Hamilton Agency, where she served as UK and international professional lines underwriter.
